Moreover, he praised China’s steady support and assistance for the socio-economic development of Pakistan. He further stated that Pakistan has greatly benefitted from the high-quality development of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Likewise, he appreciated increased investments by Chinese enterprises in CPEC’s Phase-II. Phase-II focuses on industrialization along with improving people’s livelihoods. Imran Khan also shared his views with the Chinese President on increasing polarization in the world.

Polarization is threatening to unravel the global developmental gains and poses grave threats to developing countries. The Prime Minister accentuated that insurmountable challenges like health pandemics, climate change, and growing inequalities can only be handled through the partnership of all countries in conformity with the principles of the UN Charter.

He applauded President Xi’s visionary Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) as well as the Global Development Initiative (GDI) in this regard. Both initiatives call for collaborative action for sustainable development and promise win-win results.

Imran Khan also emphasized the atrocities being committed in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), and the persecution of minorities in India for the advancement of the Hindutva mindset of RSS-BJP.

Hindutva mindset of RSS-BJP is a threat to regional peace and stability. The increased militarization of India is sabotaging regional stability. In this context, Prime Minister Imran Khan stressed that the collaboration between Pakistan and China is an anchor for peace and stability in the region.
