Ilham Mammadov new Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Afghanistan

Baku, 4 August 2021 (TDI): President Ilham Aliyev has signed a presidential order wherein Ilham Nariman Mammadov has been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Afghanistan.

President of Azerbaijan has also signed another order recalling Azerbaijan’s ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. According to the order, Hasan Sultan Zeynalov was recalled from the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

Ilham Mammadov is a seasoned and highly qualified diplomat. He has remained serving in the Pakistan and Asia Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of Azerbaijan.  His presence in Kabul at this important juncture of history will augment well for Azerbaijan in the region.
