Vienna, 30 September 2022 (TDI): The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has granted Pakistan’s National Institute of Safety and Security (NISAS) the status of Collaborating Center in the field of Nuclear Security.
The IAEA accorded the NISAS of the Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority (PNRA) the status of a collaborating center during a signing ceremony at the IAEA Headquarters.

He praised the IAEA’s Department of Nuclear Safety and Security for its continued assistance to Pakistan in these endeavors.
DDG Evrard further stated that this agreement is an important step forward in Pakistan’s continuous collaboration with the IAEA on nuclear safety and security.
She anticipated that this center would not only contribute to national projects but also establish itself as a regional center of excellence.
