Houthi re-enter Hodeidah

For instance, the ship sailing opposite to the Hodeidah Governorate reflects a flagrant offense to the UAE government. Not to mention that the Houthi militia had taken Hodeidah after the pro-government withdrawal in November.

In other words, the Houthi militia continues contravening the Stockholm Agreement because, regarding its content, the safety of the civilians must be the priority. Nonetheless, more than 6, 000 Yemenis left their homes due to the attacks nearby.

Furthermore, Ahmed BinMubarak said that Houthis violates not only the aforementioned agreement but a list of principles of the humanitarian core principles. So that, their actions bring insecurity and instability to the region.

“Not to mention his contempt for the San Remo Guide to International Law in Armed Conflicts at Sea and the United Nations Conventions at Sea,” he noted.

For this reason, the Yemeni Foreign Minister said in a press release, “the terrorist actions of the Houthi militia are a great risk to the Yemeni population.”

“A danger to international security, the freedom of maritime navigation and international trade,” he added.
Yemen’s Foreign Minister Final Remarks

Besides that, Ahmed BinMubarak urgently called the international community to take responsibility for the Houthi’s criminal practices prosecution. In addition, he condemned in the strongest terms the piracy and kidnapping of a cargo ship of the UAE.

Finally, the Yemeni Foreign Minister restated his support to the Emirates and its measures regarding the eminent offense. Likewise, he praised their worldwide counterparts for joint efforts in looking for peace and international trade safety.
