Male, 13 September 2021 (TDI): H.E Santi Bai Hanoomanjee, New High Commissioner of Mauritius to the Maldives presented her letter of credence to Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, President of Maldives.
President Solih welcomed Santi Bai and congratulated her on the commencement of her term. The newly appointed High Commissioner conveyed well wishes from officials of Mauritius to the government and the people of Maldives.
Both sides expressed assurance in strengthening existing ties between the two countries.
Moreover, both parties also discussed the common challenges and vulnerabilities faced by Mauritius and Maldives as small islands and developing states.
