German Ambassador on World Refugee Day

Islamabad: June 20, 21 – (TDI) Today the world is observing world refugee day. On this day, countries acknowledge the poor condition of refugees around the world. This day emphasizes the rights, needs, and dreams of the refugees. The nations should show political determination and provide funds and material to rebuild their lives or make them better.

The German Ambassador to Pakistan, Bernhard Schlagheck on his official Twitter account, mentioned German support for Pakistan in managing the refugee crisis. According to UNHCR, currently, 1.4 million refugees live in Pakistan, making it the 3rd major host country worldwide. German development agency together with UNHCR Pakistan.

Under the DAFI Plus initiative, the German Development Agency with UNHCR Pakistan gives training skills to Afghan refugees. German Ambassador also shared comments of Ahmad Mudassar and Negina Qayumi who are trainees under this program.
