Berlin, 27 October 2022 (TDI): Friends of Kashmir held a demonstration in Berlin to mark 75 years of Indian occupation of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The demonstration was held to mark the black day.

The participants called upon the international community to stop India’s gross human rights violations in the occupied territories for more than seven decades. Kashmiris, the Pakistani community, women, children as well as locals participated in the protest.
Pakistan marked 75 years of Indian illegal and forcible occupation of IIOJK, today. Pakistan’s diplomatic missions all across the world commemorated the day by organizing events like walks, exhibitions, & other sessions to enlighten the world.
In their special messages on the occasion, the President, Prime Minister, and Foreign Minister emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people.
They urged the international community to play its role in urging India to end its illegal occupation of IIOJK, halt massive human rights violations, and end repressive measures against Kashmiris.
The Foreign Minister wrote to the President of the United Nations General Assembly, the President of the United Nations Security Council, the UN Secretary-General, the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference.

He informed them of the dire situation in the IIOJK. The Foreign Minister expressed regret that India had continued to deny the people of IIOJK the right to self-determination for more than seven decades.

In addition, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs (MoS), Hina Rabbani Khar, organized a special Kashmir Solidarity Walk from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to D-Chowk in Islamabad.
The walk was an opportunity for all Foreign Office officers and employees to show their support for the cause of Kashmir. The Hina Rabbani Khar stressed the significance of the Kashmir Black Day during a ceremony held at the Foreign Office prior to the Walk.
Moreover, in remembrance of the sacrifices made by Kashmiris throughout the years, she also planted a Chinar sapling.
