Paris, 10 August 2021 (TDI): France is ready to assess the first volume of the Sixth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change IPCC. The report issued, has provided a detailed account of the current state of climate change and its trends, gathered from nearly 250 scientists from around the globe.
The report has been developed taking into consideration the factors affecting climate change such as socioeconomic factors, temperature, precipitation and average sea – level rise, etc. The conclusions pointed out are that global warming has increased to a warming threshold of 1.5°C causing severe rainfall, droughts, and major temperature extremes. This report also proves that France is keeping a keen eye on climate change patterns and is working within the framework of the Paris Agreement. France has also urged the EU to adopt the carbon neutrality target for 2050.
The French Government is also implementing climate regulations on the economy so that it becomes resilient enough to protect the future of the citizens.
