Pakistan Ambassador calls on Director CCI Romania

-

Bucharest, 10 August 2021 (TDI): Pakistani Ambassador to Romania and Moldova, Dr. Zafar Iqbal met with the Director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, Eduard Costin on Tuesday. The meeting was held to discuss the trade and commerce cooperation between Romania and Pakistan. Both Pakistan and Romania have good relations and the bilateral trade cooperation seems to be encouraging between both countries.

If we look at the records of the first eight months of trade between both countries, Pakistan’s exports to Romania are seen to have increased to 42.2 million dollars as compared to the previous year. In 2019 – 2020, the total exports of Pakistan to Romania were only 28 million dollars. Moreover, this record seems to be the highest from the previous record of 2011- 2012, which was 29.3 million dollars. To improve Pakistan and Romanian trade relationships, Pakistani companies can also play their part by establishing joint trading companies with Romanian counterparts and making their way to EU markets.
