France assist Haiti with earthquake disaster relief

Paris, 23 August 2021- (TDI): France has been assisting Haiti with all kinds of assistance such as the provision of firefighters and medical aid in the light of the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that hit Haiti this month. The earthquake has led to a disastrous humanitarian situation in the country. In response, President of France Emmanuel Macron has stated that “France continues to stand along with Haiti and its people.”

In addition to the 40 firefighters srent from UIISC 1, France simulated deployment of a flood containment module for Haiti under the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism. A water purification unit will also be set up in Haiti which will provide 225,000 liters of drinking water each day to help local citizens. France remains fully committed and dedicated to helping the people of Haiti due to the earthquake. The French humanitarian operation has arrived in Haiti and will be deployed in the affected areas. Furthermore, France is working actively in Haiti so that that they can recover quickly from the damages caused by the earthquake.
