New York, 22 September 2021 (TDI): Nikos Christodoulides, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, attends meetings with counterparts and heads of international organizations at the 76th UN General Assembly in New York. Nicos Anastasiades, President of Cyprus, was accompanied by Christodoulides in the assembly.

First, Christodoulides attended the ceremony to honor the CEO of the American-Jewish Committee (AJC), David Harris. Christodoulides held a meeting with a delegation from the leadership of the Committee to discuss issues of common interest with his counterpart. This is also an opportunity to brief the latest developments in the Cyprus problem.

Second, Christodoulides attended a dinner by the Federation of Cypriot Organizations of America. Lastly, on Monday, September 20, Christodoulides held separate bilateral meetings with his counterparts from Egypt, Greece, Kuwait, and Kyrgyzstan. He also took part in an informal meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the European Union Member States, the President of the Republic with the American-Jewish organization AIPAC, and the press conference of the President of the Republic.
