Islamabad, 21 August 2021 (TDI): The Bulgarian Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sophie Wilmes thanked her Pakistani counterpart, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, for assistance in the Bulgarian evacuation mission in Afghanistan. She took to Twitter and said that both countries ensured their commitment to support each other in the complex situation of evacuation.
The Pakistani FM stressed that a peaceful Afghnaistan was crucial to stability in the region and important for Pakistan’s own security. He added that it was essential that the international community remains engaged in the region and that Pakistan will continue to provide logistical support to countries for evacuation missions in Afghanistan.
