Evacuation of over 250 people by Pakistan Embassy Kabul

Kabul, 21 August 2021 (TDI): On Saturday, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, Mansoor Ahmad Khan, announced that the Pakistan Embassy in Kabul has arranged for the safe evacuation of over 250 individuals. These individuals include foreigners and Afghans working for the IMF, as well as Turkish people.

Pakistan is evacuating diplomats, foreign agency personnel, and journalists out of Kabul following the Taliban’s control of Afghanistan. Earlier, while speaking on CNN, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Munir Akram, stated that Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) operates three flights every day to evacuate between 500 and 600 people from Afghanistan.
