EU Ambassador presented credentials to Bangladesh’s President

Dhaka, 7 October 2021 (TDI): The Ambassador of the European Union to Bangladesh, Charles Whiteley met the President of Bangladesh, Abdul Hamid. He presented credentials to him in the ceremony held at the Bangabhaban Presidential Palace.

The Ambassador said that he is honored on arrival to Bangladesh and presenting the credentials to President Hamid. The President expressed warm greetings for the newly appointed Ambassador of the EU. He also wished him good luck for his journey in Bangladesh.

The Ambassador stated that he looks forward to establishing friendly relations between the EU and Bangladesh in the following years. He aspired to take Bangladesh-EU relations to new heights. Ambassador Whiteley has replaced former European Union Ambassador to Bangladesh, Rensje Teerink, and arrived in Bangladesh this week.
