Minsk, 18 March 2022 (TDI): The Embassy of Pakistan in Minsk in collaboration with Belteleradio Company organized an event on 17 March 2022 as part of the celebrations for the National Day of Pakistan.

The event was also organized in commemoration of the 28th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Pakistan and Belarus.

The event comprised a Round table discussion that covered parliamentary, political, economic, cultural and education areas of mutual collaboration with the participation of distinguished orators from multifarious fields.

Sergey Rachkov, the Chairman of the Standing Commission on International Cooperation & Internal Security of the Council of the Republic highlighted the parliamentary partnership between the two countries.

Igor Voytov, the Rector of State Technological University, and Natalia Karchevskaya, the Rector of the State University of Culture and Arts also expressed their views on the opportunities for collaboration between Belarus & Pakistan.

Julia Arabey, the Deputy Head of South East Asia and the Middle East of “Minsk Tractor Works” also spoke at the event about the ongoing cooperation in the Industrial area.

Whilst the Ambassador of Belarus to Pakistan, Andrei Metelitsa on his part addressed the event virtually. The Ambassador of Pakistan to Belarus, Ambassador Sajjad Haider Khan highlighted the cordial bilateral ties between the two countries.

He also emphasized ways and means to further deepen friendly relations. One of the most notable activities of the event was a musical performance by the Symphonic Orchestra of Belteleradio company.

The performance was a live rendition of the National Anthem of Pakistan as well as the Mili Naghma “Jeway Jeway Pakistan”. Urdu song “Dil Dil Pakistan” by Belarusian singer Tatiana Kremis and Pakistani dance performance by Tamazur Dance School of Minsk were also part of the special event.
