Kabul, August 15, 2021: Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Chairman High Council for National Reconciliation, shared a video message for the people of Afghanistan on his official Facebook account.
In his video message, he says that he will be staying in Afghanistan for the peaceful transition of the government.
He also asked people to keep calm in this crisis situation and requested Afghan forces to ensure the security of the people.
Dr. Abdullah Abdullah also requested the Taliban in his video message to “give some time for talks before entering Kabul city”. He also added, “Former President (Ashraf Ghani) left the country in such a situation, God will hold him accountable and the nation will also judge.
” He confirmed that President Ashraf Ghani has resigned. His resignation will sent to the Taliban office in Qatar.
