Islamabad (TDI): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said on Sunday that the latest round of discussions between United States and Iran concluded earlier in the morning, expressing optimism that both sides would carry forward the dialogue in a constructive and positive manner.
Speaking to reporters in Islamabad, Dar confirmed that delegations from Washington and Tehran took part in what he described as the Islamabad talks. He noted that he, along with the Chief of Defense Forces Syed Asim Munir, played a facilitating role during multiple rounds of detailed and intensive negotiations that stretched over the past 24 hours before wrapping up.
He also conveyed Pakistan’s appreciation to both parties for acknowledging its efforts in promoting dialogue, particularly its role in helping move towards a ceasefire understanding.

Dar emphasized that Pakistan hopes the momentum generated during these talks will continue, enabling both sides to work toward lasting peace and stability not just in the region, but beyond. He underscored the importance of maintaining commitments made regarding the ceasefire.

Reaffirming Islamabad’s stance, Dar said Pakistan remains ready to support continued engagement between Iran and the United States, adding that it will keep playing a constructive role in encouraging dialogue in the coming days.
