Cuba Announces Vaccine Shipment to Venezuela

La Habana, 27 September 2021 (TDI): Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermudez announced the first shipment with destination to Venezuela, of the first Latin American vaccine Abdala, via Twitter, on 26 September.

The vaccine developed and produced in the region has an effective rate of 92.28% according to the Cuban Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Center. The Center confirmed the vaccine shipment via Twitter over to Venezuela. The CGEBC published the result of the trials. There the Center indicated a rate of success of 90% in delicate patients and against the Delta variant.
