New York, 7 December 2021 (TDI): On Sunday, the Consulate General of Pakistan to New York Ayesha Ali held a media briefing on the newly established online system for the access of Power of Attorney at the Pakistan Embassy in New York.

The media briefing was arranged to explain to the people about the newly adopted initiative by the government of Pakistan to facilitate its people abroad. The media briefing started with the Consulate General Ayesha Ali introducing the initiative. In the briefing, the procedure on how to use the online system to access the Power of Attorney (POA), Passports, and Visa was explained.

Online Services by the Pakistan Embassy

The Consulate General appreciated the Government of Pakistan’s effort in facilitating its people. The session ended on a question-answer session, to further accommodate the people on their queries. The goal of the media briefing was to give a helping hand to the Pakistani American community aboard to further ease them on how to access the online system for the attainment of POA.

The Government of Pakistan has been aspiring to provide its people overseas with the best and effective services. The Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan hopes to address the problems of its people abroad. Therefore, the Pakistani embassies around the globe are conducting e-Kacheri meetings to better communicate with its people in foreign countries.

The online attestation of the Power of Attorney has only been introduced for the Pakistani Community in the United States of America and the United Kingdom. The government aims to introduce this facility in other countries of the world too for its community there.

Roshan Digital Facility

Pakistani Government is excelling in the field of Information technology (IT) as well to facilitate its people abroad. Recently the government of Pakistan introduced a ‘Roshan Digital’ application for its Pakistani’s abroad. Through this application, the Pakistani community abroad can easily access the banking facilities in Pakistan.
