Condolences over train accident in Pakistan

June 8, 2021:  Ambassadors of several states based in Pakistan including China, the United States of America, Turkey, most of the European nations, Azerbaijan, and across the world have extended their heartfelt condolences and prayers to Pakistan, in respect of the fatal train accident that took place today, in the Gotki District, Sindh. The incident took place when a Millat Express train, en route from Karachi to Sargodha, got derailed and collided with a Sir Syed Express train coming from Rawalpindi leaving 32 dead and 80 passengers severely injured.

‘We are deeply saddened to learn of the accident in Gotki. I want to extend my sincere condolences to the families of the victims and my good wishes for a full and speedy recovery to the wounded,’ says Nong Rong, the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan. Other states whose representatives have expressed their grief and regrets over the incident include the United States of America, Turkey, Switzerland, France, United Kingdom, Denmark, Germany, Netherland, Norway, Belgium, Azerbaijan, and Qatar. These states have prayed for the quick recovery of the injured and sympathized with the bereaved families.
