Islamabad (TDI): Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, discussed regional security and counter-terrorism during a meeting in Islamabad on Friday, according to the military’s media wing.
Wang arrived in Pakistan late Wednesday to take part in the sixth Pakistan-China Strategic Dialogue, where he also met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
His visit followed a stop in Kabul, where he held talks with Afghan officials.
In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the meeting with COAS Munir covered regional stability, counter-terrorism efforts and wider issues of mutual interest.
