Rawalpindi, 8 September 2021 (TDI): On Wednesday, Chief of Army Staff Pakistan, General Qamar Javed Bajwa met European Union’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Androulla Kaminara. During the meeting, the officials reviewed levels of cooperation and discussed areas of mutual interest as well. The representatives from the two sides also talked about regional security and its perspective.
Briefing about bilateral cooperation between the EU and Pakistan was also discussed during the conversation.
Kaminara appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in maintaining peace in Afghanistan and its role in preserving regional stability. EU’s Ambassador also lauded Pakistan’s successful missions in evacuating people from Afghanistan.
The Army Chief Qamar Bajwa expressed his views on Pakistan valuing its peaceful relations with the EU. Both officials look forward to strengthening diplomatic cooperation and increasing the common interests between the EU and Pakistan.
