Comrades and friends,
As the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Tiger is approaching, we are very happy to gather here to say goodbye to the old year and welcome the new year.
First of all, on behalf of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, I would like to extend my best wishes for the festival! New Year’s greetings to the people of all ethnic groups in the country, to the compatriots in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Macao Special Administrative Region, Taiwan compatriots and overseas Chinese! Happy Chinese New Year everyone!
The upcoming Lunar New Year of the Chou Ox is a year for us to sum up history and review the past, as well as a year for us to pay tribute to history and face the future. The entire Party and the people of all ethnic groups throughout the country carried forward the spirit of the young ox, the pioneer ox, and the old ox, continued to work hard for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and made new and remarkable achievements in the cause of the Party and the country.
We solemnly celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. The ritual sequence of heaven and earth, music and heaven and earth, drumming, urging, and sailing have inspired the majestic force of the whole party and the whole society to forge ahead in the new era.
We convened the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and made the third historical resolution to win the battle against poverty as scheduled, build a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way as scheduled, achieve the goal of the first century of struggle, and start a new journey to build a modern socialist country in an all-round way. In the historical process of the great rejuvenation of the nation, an indelible stroke has been written.
Over the past year, my country’s economic development and epidemic prevention and control have maintained the world’s leading position, new steps have been taken to build a new development pattern, new results have been achieved in high-quality development, the national strategic scientific and technological strength has been accelerated, new steps have been taken in reform and opening up, people’s livelihood has been effectively guaranteed, and ecological Civilization construction continues to advance, carbon peaking and carbon neutrality work are fully deployed, national defense and military construction are vigorously expanded, Hong Kong has been transformed from chaos to governance, the struggle against “independence” and promotion of reunification continues to be strengthened, major country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics continues to be advanced, and party history learning and education Significant results have been achieved, the overall social situation has remained stable, and the “14th Five-Year Plan” has achieved a good start.
Under the complex situation of changes in the past century and the epidemic of the century, these achievements have greatly enhanced the pride and confidence of the whole party and the people of all ethnic groups in the whole country to forge ahead in a new journey and make contributions to a new era.
Over the past 100 years, the Communist Party of China has delivered an excellent answer to the people and history. Now, the party unites and leads the people of all ethnic groups in the country to embark on a new road to take the exam to achieve the second centenary goal.
In the past 100 years, all the achievements of the party and the people are the result of united struggle, and united struggle is the most significant spiritual symbol of the Communist Party of China and the Chinese people. The century-old history of struggle tells us that unity is strength, and struggle creates the future; only the nation that can unite and struggle can have a future, and the political party that can unite and struggle can be invincible.
The history of a hundred years of struggle also tells us that the solidarity formed around a clear goal of struggle is the strongest unity, and the struggle that relies on close unity is the most powerful struggle. We have created a glorious history through unity and struggle, and we also need to rely on unity and struggle to open up a better future.
As long as the more than 1.4 billion Chinese people continue to look forward to the future hand in hand, and as long as the more than 95 million Chinese Communists are always connected to the future with the people, we will be able to continue to create impressive miracles on the new road to exams!
The greatest happiness in the world is to strive for the happiness of the people. The best tribute to the century-old history of struggle is to write a new history of struggle. In the second half of this year, the Communist Party of China will hold its 20th National Congress to summarize the work of the past five years and plan a development blueprint for the next period. We must coordinate both domestic and international situations, coordinate the promotion of the “five-in-one” overall layout, coordinate the promotion of the “four comprehensive” strategic layout, coordinate development and security, coordinate epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development, and adhere to the overall work of seeking progress while maintaining stability.
