Chinese Foreign Minister talks with US State Secretary

Beijing, 13 November 2021 (TDI): Chinese Foreign Minister and state councilor Wang Yi talked with US State Secretary Antony Blinken on a phone call.

They emphasized the upcoming meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and American President Joe Biden. The two counterparts will meet virtually on 16 November 2021. The whole world is looking forward to the meeting of the Presidents of the two of the leading countries of the world.

Chinese Foreign Minister stressed that the meeting will help to build trust between the two states. It will also be of great importance to the world. The meeting between the head of the two states will help to strengthen bilateral relations of the two states. He also stated that the two countries should work in an identical direction.

US Secretary of State agreed with the Chinese Foreign Minister of China that the whole world is eagerly waiting for the virtual meeting between heads of the two states. Antony Blinken further stated that the US looks forward to strengthening its relations with China. The upcoming meeting will give a strong message to the world about multilateralism.

Chinese Foreign Minister stated that the Independence of Taiwan is the biggest threat to regional peace. Therefore, the United States should stay committed to the One-China policy.

During their conversation, they also talked about leading issues of the world such as climate change, the Iranian Nuclear Deal, and energy security. They agreed to enhance dialogue between the two states to deal with the global challenges. Chinese Foreign Minister said that China will continue to make efforts to bring Sino-US relations back on right track.
