Ying Xiong, the Chairman of All Pakistan Chinese Enterprises’s Association addressed the Awarding Ceremony for Outstanding Pakistani staff of CPEC Project.

Islamabad, 29 December 2021 (TDI): Ying Xiong, the Chairman of All Pakistan Chinese Enterprises’s Association addressed the Awarding Ceremony for Outstanding Pakistani staff of CPEC Project.

Whilst addressing the gathering, Ying Xiong conveyed cordial greetings from the Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Chairman of China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), He Lifeng.

Moreover, he conveyed on behalf of the Deputy Head of NDRC, Chairman of the CPEC Joint Cooperation Committee of the Chinese side, Ning Jizhe to Asad Umar, The Minister of Planning of Pakistan, and SAPM Mansoor.

In addition, he extended felicitation to the awardees for their outstanding performance. Ying Xiong underscored that prevalently the world is experiencing significant shifts unseen in a century. The Covid-19 pandemic has also generated turbulence and risks around the world.

China and Pakistan are all-weather strategic cooperative partners and they have continually reinforced strategic communication to safeguard common interests. The Chinese official highlighted that during the past 70 years the two countries have always “stood side by side in weal and woe.” 

“We are dedicated to building healthy corridors, actively creating industrial corridors, speeding up the flow of trade corridors, earnestly developing digital corridors, promoting the formation of green corridors. We will promote high-quality development of the CPEC, make it the demonstration project for high-quality development of the BRI, and work together to build an even closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era.”

History has thoroughly proven that the two partners are the most dependable iron-clad brothers. China’s growth and development are in the interest of Pakistan. Likewise, it is also China’s fervent hope that Pakistan can attain steady development to prosper.

Ying Xiong further enunciated that CPEC is a landmark project of the Belt and Road Initiative cooperation and since its initiation in 2013, China and Pakistan have collaborated by following the principles of comprehensive consultation, joint contribution, and mutual interest.

Moreover, the Covid-19 pandemic also could not affect the progress of CPEC projects and no Pakistani were discharged because of it. Additionally, the Chinese workforce did not withdraw either.

Mentioning the successful 10th Joint Coordination Committee meeting of CPEC he pointed out that the anti-pandemic campaign by the CPEC brought tangible accomplishments.

Gwadar Port development is making progress so are the various energy projects and transportation infrastructure cooperation. Aside from that, cooperation in industries and other domains is also progressing rapidly.

Even agriculture, as well as science and technology cooperation, is progressing smoothly. These worthwhile accomplishments have once again exhibited the indestructible China-Pakistan camaraderie and demonstrated to the world the dynamism and immense prospects of the Belt and Road Initiative.

“The haze of the pandemic will eventually disperse, and the bright sun will eventually shine on the earth. We sincerely wish that the CPEC will have a better future! Long live the China-Pakistan friendship!”

The Chinese Representative appreciated the outstanding Pakistani staff for their outstanding representation of the CPEC. He lauded their dedication, innovation, and devotion.

Furthermore, he stated that it represented the dynamic and brave spirit of both Chinese and Pakistani people, along with reflecting the strength of the CPEC construction and the common aspiration of the two nations for a better life.

He stated that the relevant authorities in China, are closely following the “1+4” cooperation layout, centering on CPEC construction and focusing on Gwadar Port, infrastructure development, energy, and industrial cooperation.
