Chinese Ambassador felicitates on success of Cricket Tournament

Islamabad, 21 October 2021 (TDI): The Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Nong Rong extended congratulations to HydroChina on the success of the HDEC Cricket Tournament. Ambassador Nong Rong shared the well wishes on his official twitter handle. He also shared a video marking the celebrations at the conclusion of the tournament.

China and Pakistan enjoy strong multifaceted bilateral ties which have strengthened with time. Both countries have been working on a wide array of projects for mutual benefit. The most significant project between the two is the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Events like this are a common occurrence between China and Pakistan to further deepen the relations. It increases people to people contact.

The prize distribution ceremony was in the UBL Sports Complex, Karachi at the end of the tournament.

Earlier, at the beginning of the month, the two all-weather friends organized a cricket tournament. It marked 70 years of Pak-China diplomatic relations.

The latest sports event was organized by HydroChina. It is a subsidiary of PowerChina Huadong Engineering Corporation Limited (HDEC). It is a Chinese state-owned company working on Renewable Energy projects in Pakistan.

HydroChina provides investment and construction for Pakistan’s wind corridor It provides worth 1,139.5MW in total capacity. It delivers 3.67 billion kWh of green electricity per annum.
