New York, 21 August 2021 (TDI): Dai Bing, the charge d’affaires at the Chinese Permanent Mission to the United Nations (UN) participated in the United Nations Security Council meeting on Afghanistan.
In the context of the recent change in Afghanistan, Dai Bing notified the world that there is a possibility of terrorist groups taking advantage of the international community’s absence. Therefore, the international community should support restrain Afghanistan from once again becoming a haven for terrorists because the world shares the responsibility for counter-terrorism.
Dai suggested some measurements to root out terrorism and said that by imposing coercive measurements the number of terrorists has increased instead of decreasing. So, the world should adopt a peaceful and political method to counter-terrorism.
In the end, the Chinese envoy assured the council of China’s cooperation with the international organizations working to combat terrorism to maintain world peace and stability.
