Karachi, 27 July 2022 (TDI): Libijian, the Consul General of China to Karachi shared about China’s participation in the International Army Games 2022 through his official Twitter account.
He shared that a Chinese team comprised of tanks and vehicles will be participating in the Russia-launched venture. The International Army Games 2022 will be held from 13 to 27 August.

As per the statement of the Russian Defense Ministry on Wednesday, the Army Games will be held in 12 countries. Thus far, the participation of 275 teams from 37 countries has been confirmed in a total of 36 competitions.
However, it is pertinent to note that teams from Rwanda and Niger will be participating for the first time. Part of the Games will also take place in Belarus and Iran. Whereas Venezuela will be the first-ever South American country to host parts of the games.
The International Army Games were initiated by the Russian Defense Ministry. It has served as an international forum for militaries to exchange experience along with strengthen partnerships.
International Army Games
The International Army Games are organized by the Ministry of Defense of Russia (MoD) every year. It involves military sports contests. The event was first staged in 2015 and has been referred to as the War Olympics ever since.
International Army Games pit the troops of various countries in a spectator sports rendition of warfare on the land, sea, and in the air.
The competition includes heavy-duty events like the fighter jet maneuvering contest; Aviadarts, and marquee tank biathlon.
Moreover, smaller-scale contests like a field kitchen cook-off or service dog race will also be included. The competitions will wrap up with the finals of the games and the closing ceremony.
