ISLAMABAD, September 11,2024 (TDI): On Wednesday, China has introduced a set of 10 measures to strengthen global public security cooperation, focusing on collaborative efforts to tackle cross-border crime, terrorism, cybersecurity issues, and Artificial intelligence (AI) related risks.

These steps were announced at the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province.

The measures are part of a concept document that plans a framework for international public security collaboration.

This document aims to establish a global cybersecurity governance structure that addresses the gaps between developing and developed nations and builds a unified cybersecurity approach, said Zeng Weixiong, the forum’s president.

The concept document urges for the setting up and upgrading of global cyber security governance to address the differences in cyber governance between different countries.

It also calls for improving global intelligence and information exchange to monitor better and prevent terrorism.

Technical training and equipment will be provided to developing countries to enhance their counter-terrorism capabilities.
