Beijing, 12 April 2022 (TDI): Zhao Lijian, the Spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry of China, congratulated Shehbaz Sharif on his election as the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
The congratulations were extended by the Spokesperson on the behalf of China at a regular press conference on future Sino-Pakistan relations. He enunciated that Pakistan and China are all-weather strategic partners.

Zhao Lijian went on to further emphasize during the press briefing that the ties between the two countries are indestructible and concrete.
Moreover, China anticipates making joint efforts with Pakistan to amplify mutual support, continue the time-honored friendship, and deepen all-around collaboration.
Along these lines, he affirmed that the two partners will jointly build the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) with high quality along with creating a close-knitted China-Pakistan community in the new era, with a shared future.
Earlier, the Chinese Spokesperson also gave a statement in which he reiterated China’s stance that no matter the political circumstances in Pakistan, China will adhere to its friendly policy toward Pakistan.

He underscored that China believes the transitions in the political landscape of Pakistan will not impact the overall status of the strong ties between the two countries.
China and Pakistan are staunch strategic partners sharing the same region and same outlook towards the global transitions. The two collaborate closely in multifarious domains for mutual benefit.
