Beijing, 11 April 2022 (TDI): China will unfalteringly adhere to its friendly policy toward Pakistan. This statement was given by Zhao Lijian, the Spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry today in a press briefing.
He stated that “no matter how the political situation in Pakistan evolves, China will stick to its friendly policy towards Pakistan as it believes that changes in the political situation of Pakistan will not influence the comprehensive China-Pakistan relations.”

In response to a question asked during the daily press conference, Zhao Lijian enunciated that the Chinese side has noted the political transition in Pakistan. However, it won’t impact the relations between the two countries.
He went on to further express that as a contiguous neighbor and an iron-clad friend, China earnestly hopes that all stakeholders in the realm of Pakistani politics can stay united so as to safeguard national stability and development.
In response to claims pertaining to the US interference in the internal affairs of Pakistan, the Chinese Spokesperson further pointed out that “China always opposes any country’s interference in others’ internal affairs.”
Amidst rising uncertainty in the political landscape of Pakistan, the relationship between the two staunch partners won’t be impacted by the political transition in the country.
Ever since the establishment of diplomatic ties, the relationship between Pakistan with China has become more stable and dependable over the years.
The two all-weather allies collaborate in a myriad of domains including trade, infrastructure development, education, technology, and agriculture.
China-Pakistan Economic Corridor commonly known as CPEC is the aptest example of the cooperation between the two countries.
