Lahore, 24 September 2023 (TDI): A ceremony was held to celebrate the 74th anniversary of China’s National Day. The Governor of Punjab, Baligh-ur-Rehman, Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi, and Federal Minister Fawad Hassan Fawad attended the ceremony.

In addition, Provincial Ministers SM Tanveer, Azfar Ali Nasir, Amir Mir, Jamal Nasir, Ibrahim Murad, Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, the US Consul General, the Consul General of Iran, and others were also in attendance.

Governor Baligh-ur-Rehman together with Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi and other guests, cut the cake along with Acting Consul General of China, Cao Ke.

The Governor and the Chief Minister of Punjab congratulated the Acting Chinese Consul General on the occasion of China’s National Day.

Whereas the Acting Chinese Consul General thanked the two. It is pertinent to note that Chinese Diplomat has started a new era of Pak-China relations, which will open new avenues of cooperation between the two countries in all walks of life.

During the ceremony, Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi shared he was grateful to the Party Secretary of China and the Chinese leadership.

He further underscored that Pakistan and China stand together for a bright and peaceful future as China is Pakistan’s all-weather friend, strong partner, and reliable neighbor.

While on his part, Baligh-ur-Rehman enunciated that his cabinet made a successful visit to China, during which encouraging & positive discussions were held to increase cooperation & agreement was signed with Chinese cities to declare Sahiwal & Bahawalpur as sister cities.
