Sofia, 13 August 2021 (TDI): Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria expressed its deepest condolences to the families of victims, civilians, and soldiers who lost their lives during the wildfires in Algeria.
Wildfires started in the northern areas of the country and have been extending continuously. Up till now the disastrous blazes of fire have taken the lives of almost 65 people along with 28 soldiers who were on duty to fight with fire. The fires were continuously fanned by the strong winds. Moreover, the dry weather of the regions also fueled the fire. One of the main cities which has been affected more by the wildfires is the city of Tizi Ouzou, where people had to evacuate.
