Torkham: July 5, 2021-(TDI) Today, British High Commissioner Christian Turner visited Pak Afghan border crossing, Torkham, and Khyber Pass. He took to Twitter and said only through trade, lasting peace in Afghanistan is possible. The visit gave him more insights into the economic potential of regional trade exchange and border crossing. British High Commissioner also shared pictures of his trip on his official Twitter account.
The UK welcomed the Afghan Peace process and ensured continued support to the Afghan people. Most of the troops called back to the country. The British government, expecting to bring back home the last few soldiers in a few days, which will mark the end of their role in the twenty years-long conflict.
