Hanoi, 12 June 2023 (TDI): A delegation from the Board of Investment (BOI) of Pakistan recently met with Tran Quang Huy, Director General of the Asia and Africa Department at the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) in Vietnam.

During the discussion, Huy shared important details about Pakistan and Vietnam’s bilateral trade relationship. He highlighted the significant values on which both nations have been working to develop their trade relations.

This meeting also provided the opportunity for the BOI delegation to get an understanding of Vietnam’s industry policy and identify the areas where Pakistan and Vietnam can foster their economic ties.

However, the discussion was based on the free trade agreement (FTA) that is agreed upon by Vietnam and several other countries in Asia. This agreement not only increases Vietnam’s potential in trade but also provides opportunities for Pakistan to enter the Vietnamese market.

The BOI delegation highlighted the strong desire to use FTA to increase trade and investment.
