Islamabad, 7 September 2024 (TDI): Some of the matches on England’s next Test series of Pakistan might be relocated to another nation have the country looking for clarification.
The fact that the series’ planned locations are still under development has raised concerns. The three-Test series, which begin on October 7, may have a revised schedule, according to media reports.
The first Test series between England and Pakistan is scheduled for Multan, with future matches to be held in Karachi and Rawalpindi.
However, issues are arising at the sites in Karachi and Rawalpindi due to upgrades made in anticipation of the Champions Trophy next year.
Relocation of one or more of the matches to Sri Lanka or the United Arab Emirates has been suggested. Before making a choice, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is awaiting more information.
Before the third Test match against Sri Lanka, England’s head coach, Brendon McCullum, spoke to the media at The Oval about the uncertainties.

McCullum remarked, “Though we are unsure of the current state of affairs in Pakistan, we are unable to choose a team until we are certain of the venue. It would be nice if we found out over the next few days.”
“Afterwards, we will take a seat and confirm that our team is suitable for the situation and the opposition,” he continued.
It is noteworthy that the Pakistan Cricket Board hosted matches in the United Arab Emirates during the period that England did not tour Pakistan owing to security concerns, which lasted from 2005 to 2022.
