Islamabad (TDI): The 5th International Textile and Leather Exhibition (TEXPO) in Karachi has witnessed strong participation from Belgian companies, reflecting the deepening commercial ties between Belgium and Pakistan.

Accompanying the Belgian delegation at the exhibition was Muhammad Bilal Khan, the Trade and Investment Attaché at the Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels.

His presence aimed to provide on-ground support and facilitate interactions between Belgian companies and their Pakistani counterparts, as highlighted in a press release from the Pakistan embassy in Belgium.

A seminar organized by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) on the sidelines of the exhibition addressed the theme of “Sustainability and the Textile Sector of Pakistan.”

During this seminar, Economic Minister Omer Hameed discussed the sustainability standards within the European Union and their implications for the textile industry.

Faraz Zaidi, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels, underscored the significance of Belgian participation in TEXPO, noting that the involvement of these companies demonstrates the strengthening of trade relations between Pakistan and Belgium.
