Egypt bus accident

According to the Egyptian authorities, a double-decker bus toppled in the Suez governorate in the country’s northeast. It caused at least five fatalities and fifty injuries.

In the northern Egyptian city of Faqous earlier on Friday, the accident happened between a bus and train.

A minibus was driving illegally across a blocked railway crossing point when it hit a passing train. Three people died and ten others got hurt on spot, according to local media sources.

According to Emergency Police Operations Room, the accident occurred on Egypt’s Cairo-Ain Sokhna road on Friday. All injured people were brought to hospitals.

Traffic accidents are common in the state and result in thousands of fatalities each year. Speeding, poor road upkeep, and slack enforcement of traffic laws cause most of the accidents.

In order to decrease traffic accidents, Egypt has been improving its road network over the past few years by constructing new roads and bridges and repairing existing ones.

Belarus citizens in Egypt

Belarus and Egypt have good bilateral ties. When the topic of tourism comes up, the relationship between both countries may be the most obvious.

Belarusians continue to be among the most fervent tourists visiting the Red Sea coast and Eastern Egypt. Every year, around 200,000 Belarusians visit Egypt to enjoy the weather and hospitality, go diving, or sunbathe.

Further, Egypt was among the first countries which recognized Belarus and have established diplomatic ties with Minsk since 1992. Cairo’s support was very important and necessary for Belarus’s independence movement.
