Tashkent, 31 August 2021 (TDI): Telephonic conversion was held between Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Uzbekistan, and Alexander Lukashenko, President of Belarus.
Belarusian President congratulated his Uzbek counterpart on Independence Day. Uzbekistan celebrates its independence on 1st September, as this was the day when the country got independence from the USSR. He acknowledged the Uzbek efforts to maintain peace in the region.
Uzbekistan and Belarus have strong diplomatic and economic ties. Both leaders promised to continue the economic and diplomatic partnership.
