Minsk, 5 August 2021 (TDI): Pakistani Ambassador Sajjad Haider Khan and Chairman of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE), Alexander Osmolovsky discussed mercantile operations and commodity trade in a crucial meeting at the BUCE central office. The Belarus Foreign Relations Department head also was in attendance.
BUCE, established in 2004 as a virtual commodity trade center assists international buyers and sellers with a secure means of transactions. Over 26000 companies established in 66 countries are partners to the organization which makes it East Europe’s largest business market with an annual transaction averaging $ 2.5 billion.
In the meeting, key areas of the logistical structure, operations, and international outreach of the organization were conveyed and anticipation of possible Pakistani participation in the organization was discussed. In consequence, a number of virtual meetings are to be held for opening up the Pakistani business community to the platform. The prospect of online trade can give Pakistan and Belarus fertile ground for economic relations in the post-pandemic economic recovery phase.
