Dhaka, 9 October 2021 (TDI): The Foreign Minister of Bangladesh, Abul Kalam Abdul Momen made his first visit to Romania. He held official talks with the Foreign Minister of Romania, Bogdan Aurescu.
The two parties held a fruitful discussion on the bilateral ties that Romania and Bangladesh share. The agenda of the meeting was to come up with ways that can improve diplomatic relations. Moreover, a discussion was held on significant regional as well as multilateral issues that are of mutual interest.
Foreign Minister Momen has extended an invitation to Romanian businesses to invest in Bangladesh. He urged Romanian investors and businesses to form joint ventures in Bangladesh’s 100 special economic zones and high-tech parks. Romanian cooperation for GSP facilities in the European market was also sought by the foreign ministry. Both foreign ministers expressed their delight at the current state of relations between the two friendly nations.
