Kathmandu, 8 October 2021 (TDI): The US Ambassador to Nepal, Randy Berry wished Happy Dashain to the government and people of Nepal.
In a congratulatory message on Twitter, he extended warm greetings from the American Mission family in Nepal. He wished everyone a safe and joyful festive season. He also prayed for safe and enjoyable holidays for the people of Nepal.
Dashain is the longest Hindu jubilant festival of Nepal, which is celebrated for two weeks. The people of Nepal offer prayers and supplications to the Universal Mother Goddess, Durga. The harvest festival takes place through family reunions, gifts, exchanges, and puja functions. The event falls in autumn every year and is celebrated for almost two weeks. Every single day indicates a specific religious purpose.
