New York, 25 September 2021 (TDI): Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov meets officials of various countries. These meetings took place on the sidelines of the 76th session of UNGA.
Minister Jeyhun meets High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Joseph Borrell Fontelles. They discuss the Europe-Azerbaijan partnership. They also discussed negotiations on a new agreement, the upcoming Eastern Partnership (EaP) Summit. They also discussed the regional security situation, including reconstruction works in liberated territories.
Jeyhun also had a friendly exchange with the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Ivan Korcok. He informed Foreign Minister Korcok on latest regional developments, including the post-conflict reconstruction & reintegration process.
Jeyhun meets UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi. Both leaders discussed the issues related to return of Internal Displaced People according to the Trilateral Statement. He also briefed the High Commissioner on works done by Azerbaijan to ensure safe return of IPDs.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister also had a meeting with the Foreign Minister of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian. They stressed development of Azerbaijan-Iran relations in all spheres and discussed the regional situation. Jeyhun informed Amir-Abdollahian on reconstruction works undertaken by Azerbaijan in the liberated territories.
Foreign Minister also met the French Foreign Minister, Jean-Yves Le Drian. He informed him of the consequences of the deliberate destruction policy by Armenia in Azerbaijani lands and ongoing reconstruction work in liberated territories.
