Faisalabad, 1 September 2021 (TDI): Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan Dr. Geoffery Shaw met office bearers of Faislabad Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry. During the meeting, various initiatives that women-led business owners are working to help economic development were discussed. High Commissioner shared ways to support such initiatives of business and practical skills for women entrepreneurs. He is of the view that the presence and participation of a skilled women’s workforce are important for Pakistan’s economic prosperity. Tehmina Pasha, President of the Faisalabad Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Shahida Aftab, and Rubina Shafiq led the conversation and shared the vision and mission of the Chamber. The participants of the meeting also shared the potential that women of Pakistan have for contributing to the economic well-being of the country.
