Islamabad (TDI): Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb virtually attended the first workshop on “Implementation Management” organized by Saudi Arabia on Thursday.
The workshop is part of a three-part series focusing on Pakistan-Saudi collaboration, with future sessions addressing digital and social transformation.
The event, titled “Saudi-Pak Economic Collaboration Taskforce – Pakistan Transformation,” included senior officials from federal and provincial governments. Participants discussed Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and its relevance to Pakistan’s economic reforms.

The Finance Minister praised Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 for its strong implementation strategies. He highlighted the importance of focusing on “People, Process, and Technology” to ensure successful reforms.
He emphasized the need for policy continuity in Pakistan. “Saudi Arabia’s success lies in making reforms irreversible. Pakistan must adopt this principle to ensure sustainable progress,” he said.
The Minister acknowledged that not all aspects of Saudi Arabia’s model could be replicated in Pakistan. However, he stressed the importance of learning from failures and institutionalizing reforms to prevent reversals.

Yahya Bin Laden, a Vision 2030 expert, shared insights into Saudi Arabia’s approach.
He stated that setting measurable objectives, establishing accountability, and ensuring sustainability are key drivers of success.
The minister also explained the phases of implementation, including quick wins, addressing challenges, and using data-driven decisions.
