Islamabad (TDI): Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb on Tuesday departed for a three-day official visit to London aimed at boosting economic relations, attracting foreign investment, and engaging with British government officials, international financial institutions, and business leaders.
During his visit, the finance minister will speak at multiple investment forums and seminars to provide a clear and updated overview of Pakistan’s economic landscape.
The visit is part of the government’s broader strategy to enhance investor confidence and spotlight Pakistan’s investor-friendly policies.
One of the major engagements includes participation in an investment roundtable themed as “Pakistan Access Day,” organized by Jefferies, a leading investment banking firm.
The Minister will also attend a roundtable discussion with UK-based tech investors, focusing on opportunities in artificial intelligence (AI), mining, and healthcare. Prime Minister’s Advisor on Investment, Muhammad Ali, will accompany him at both events.
Aurangzeb’s trip includes high-level government meetings. The Minister is scheduled to visit Treasury Department, where he will meet with Financial Secretary to the Treasury Lord Livermore, along with other key officials.

He will also visit the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office for meetings with Leo Docherty, the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for the Middle East, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, and other high British officials.
Moreover, the minister will engage with officials at the Office for Budget Responsibility and meet its Chair Richard Hughes along with his senior team, according to Express News.
Aurangzeb is also set to visit the Bank of England (BoE) headquarters, where he will hold discussions with Governor Andrew Bailey and his team.

His trip includes meetings with top executives of leading financial institutions like Deutsche Bank and Standard Chartered Bank. He will also meet with Chief Executive of the UK Government Communication Service, Simon Baugh and Head of Cargill Global Trading UK, Marcus Hall.
He will also hold discussions with representatives of British American Tobacco.
