President Arif Alvi met Pakistani Ambassadors to Korea and Algeria

Islamabad, 14 January 2022 (TDI): On 13 January 2022, President of Pakistan, Dr Arif Alvi, officially met with the Ambassador-designate of Pakistan to Korea, Nabeel Munir in Islamabad to discuss the existing bilateral relationship between Pakistan and the Republic of Korea.

The President, while talking to the Ambassador, said that Pakistan believes in the expansion of friendly bilateral ties based on mutual interests to promote savvy diplomacy and to develop a multidimensional approach towards the outer world.

He highlighted that Pakistan desires to further collaborate with the Republic of Korea based on a broad canvas in various fields such as economy, politics, and developing cultural and public connections.

 

Moreover, Dr Arif Alvi highlighted that in an age of increasing dependence of states on each other and global connectivity, there is a need to take necessary steps to transform the trends of trade between two states. It is important to address the existing bottlenecks to boost the economies of both countries.

Further Highlighting the significance of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects and Special Economic Zones, he asked the Ambassador to urge the Korean investors to collaborate with Pakistan in different sectors to build joint ventures to shape up advanced economies in the 21st century.

Promoting Tourism

The President also mentioned the colourful aspect of religion through the prism of tourism. Furthermore, he brought forth the availability of numerous historic Buddhist religious sites in Pakistan and their significance for the tourism industry of Pakistan. He urged the Ambassador to take proactive actions to encourage tourists from Korea to visit Pakistan.

PRESIDENT MET WITH THE AMBASSADOR OF PAKISTAN TO ALGERIA:

The President called on the Pakistani Ambassador to Algeria and discussed the prospects of cordial relations between the two states.

He highlighted that Pakistan and Algeria enjoy the lengths of friendly relations due to sharing of common religion, cultural values and friendly foreign policies.

Moreover, discussed underscoring the need for collaboration in present times, he mentioned that Pakistan values its relations with Algeria. He urged to expand the bilateral ties in the field of Information Technology (IT).

He emphasized bilateral exchanges through the diplomatic delegations of Parliamentary and Chamber of Commerce between the two states.

Also, he proposed to set up Joint Business Council to polish existing relations between the two states.
