Islamabad, 2 August 2021 (TDI): Ambassador of Spain to Pakistan, Manuel Duran Gimenez-Rico visited Naval Headquarters in Islamabad and met the Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi, on Monday.
The Ambassador later shared on Twitter that it was an excellent meeting. During the meeting, the two dignitaries discussed matters of mutual interests, bilateral collaborations, and maritime security of the South Asian region.
The meeting with Naval Chief was an important step towards deepening cooperation on defense especially maritime with Spain. There was an urge from both sides to cooperate in sharing learnings and experiences. Both countries are collaborating in building closer cooperation.
Defense production is one of the important sectors where both countries can cooperate together. There has been a memorandum of understanding signed between both states to advance the cooperation. Both countries are having a regular exchange of military personnel on professional and tactical levels.
