Pakistan’s Ambassador to US highlights bilateral relations

California, 16 November 2022 (TDI): Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States (US), Masood Khan highlighted the present positive momentum between Pakistan and US. He visited RAND Corporation; a global research and policy think tank in Los Angeles.

During his visit, he underlined the positive aspects and increase in bilateral strength between both states. This increased coordination between both states has resulted in closer cooperation in the trade and investment sector.

The focus of the bilateral cooperation includes the IT (information technology) sector, climate change, regional peace, and stability.

Ambassador Masood Khan during his visit to Los Angeles also attended an event hosted by Pakistani-American Dr. Imran Sharief. He met and interacted with State and Local Council members in Los Angeles.

Views were exchanged pertaining to closer ties between Pakistan and the State of California, with a prominent focus on the investment and trade sector.

The Ambassador also interacted with members of the LDS (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) in Los Angeles. He appreciated their work related to inter-faith harmony & thanked their philanthropic work in Pakistan, particularly flood relief efforts.

Pakistan-US relations

Pakistan and US are witnessing positive momentum in their bilateral relations which is a positive sign for both states.

Intense high-level interactions and visits have been taking place in recent times, which highlights the upward trajectory of relations between both countries.

These interactions include the meeting between Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in New York in May 2022.

The Foreign Minister also participated in the Ministerial Meeting on the ‘Global Food Security Call to Action.’ Later in July, he received a call from Antony Blinken.

He also met with the US Special Representative on Business and Commercial Affairs, Dilawar Syed in Pakistan. The progress of healthy engagement between both states is for the mutual benefit of the two nations.
