Ambassador Al Otaiba’s remarks about Kabul attack

Abu Dhabi, 28 August 2021 (TDI): United Arab Emirates ambassador to the United States Yousef Al Otaiba paid condolences to the families of victims of the Kabul attack.
On August 26, a terrorist attack took place at the Hamid Karzai International Airport which killed more than a hundred people.

It was an attempt to disrupt the ongoing evacuation operation. Otaiba called it a brutal attack and condoled with those who have lost their loved ones in this attack. He also wished a speedy recovery to the injured people. He reiterated that the UAE is working hard to relocate the vulnerable Afghans to safe places.

Earlier this week, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of UAE announced that UAE will accommodate five thousand evacuees from Afghanistan.
